Other great Recipe of our Contest that we have not had time to post until today. We are sorry about this delay. It has been sent by Katalin Vida from Budapest (Hungary). It is a Triple Tomato Soup with Smoked PaprikaPowder "La Chinata".

Triple Tomato Soup with Smoked Paprika



  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 100 gr dried tomato, chopped and its oil
  • 1 teaspoon La Chinata Smoked Paprika
  • half chili, chopped
  • 3 tomato, chopped
  • 400 ml good quality Italian tomato paste
  • 500 ml broth
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • zest of 1 orange
  • fresh juice of half of an orange
  • salt, pepper



In a saucepen pour the oil, add the onion, the garlic and the dried tomatoes with their oil and cook over moderately high heat until softened, 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and add the Smoked Paprika and the chili. Reheat the soup, add the tomatoes and cook them for 5 minutes. Pour in the broth and tomato paste and bring to a simmer. With a blender puree the soup until smooth. Add the orange zest, the orange juice and the sugar and finish with salt and pepper.
